What Data We Collect
We collect only the following information:
- Email address — when you subscribe to our free newsletter or unlock full commentary on our website.
- Payment information — if you subscribe to Premium (₹499/month or ₹3,999/year), your payment is processed by Razorpay. We do not store your card details. Razorpay's privacy policy applies to payment data.
- Usage data — basic analytics such as pages visited and time on site, collected anonymously through standard web server logs. We do not use cookies for tracking.
How We Use Your Data
- To send you our daily market commentary newsletter (free subscribers).
- To deliver Premium content and manage your subscription (paid subscribers).
- To send occasional product updates or announcements about CockyMonday. You can opt out of these at any time.
- To improve the website and understand what content our readers find useful.
We will never use your email to send you third-party advertising or sponsored content. We will never sell, rent, or share your email address with any third party for marketing purposes.
Email Service Provider
We use Brevo (formerly Sendinblue) to manage our email list and send newsletters. Your email address is stored on Brevo's servers. Brevo is GDPR-compliant. You can read their privacy policy at brevo.com/legal/privacypolicy.
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Unsubscribe — every email we send contains an unsubscribe link. One click removes you from all future emails.
- Access your data — email us at hello@cockymonday.com to request a copy of any personal data we hold about you.
- Delete your data — email us to request complete deletion of your data from our systems and our email service provider.
- Correct your data — if any information we hold is inaccurate, contact us and we will correct it promptly.
Data Storage and Security
Your email address is stored by Brevo on secure servers. We do not store payment card details — these are handled entirely by Razorpay's PCI-DSS compliant infrastructure. We take reasonable technical precautions to protect any data we handle, but no internet transmission is 100% secure.
Cookies
We use a single browser storage mechanism (localStorage) to remember whether you have unlocked our free commentary, so you don't have to re-enter your email on every visit. This is not a tracking cookie and does not identify you to any third party. You can clear this at any time by clearing your browser's local storage.
Children
CockyMonday is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 18. If you believe a minor has provided us their information, contact us and we will delete it immediately.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify subscribers by email. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the current version.
